I found myself captivated by the lives of both Emma and Jake. Watching the attraction towards one another break down walls of the beliefs they both felt they needed to maintain for them to survive the lives they had built taking care of the family they loved. Both of them had sacrificed for their family to take care of them putting their own lives on hold without a second thought to themselves. When they meet neither one of them are prepared for the intensity of the attraction they feel for one another and the days following have them wanting to take the chance to commit just a little more than they had ever done before in their lives.Emma and Jake's lives left me sympathizing with their choices throughout the story as their relationship resonates with real life situations. Reading Emma's Home was the best time spent immersed in the lives carefully woven by Maryann Jordan. I found myself wanting to turn the next page when there were no more to turn.

Wow! I was pleasantly surprised with the intensity of Jake, our Alpha. He's a detective who meets Emma through mutual friends. Emma, the new high school counselor, unknowingly digs into trouble, which causes her lots of trouble.
Luckily, Jake, the OTT cop, is there to claim ownership, have dirty awesome sex and fall in love with Emma. Now, this doesn't keep her safe, but, it was awesome to read! LOL
I totally recommend this book to anyone that loves a great growing relationship between an OTT alpha and a woman who knows when to not (OK let's face it, she doesn't, but it makes it more fun) poke the bear.
Totally hot, fun and quick read!
I adore the way MaryAnn Jordan weaves a story. She pulls you in and keeps the flow of the story going so well that you can't put it down. This story is filled with love, hawt, steamy sex, excellent family dynamics, an intriguing mystery and hot policemen and firefighters. Emma's Home is filled with compelling characters and a very real feel for small town dynamics. Emma has always had to be independent and in charge caring for her niece and all those around her. Then she meets Jake and the the rules change. Jake is a very hot, protective, sexy Alpha male who also still manages to be loving and compassionate. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys romance, sex with a bit of mystery in their books.
This was a fantastic read. I loved the story, and the characters. I went into it without reading the synopsis so I was pleasantly surprised when I was sucked into the story from the very beginning. Its well written and the characters are very relatable. The book has it all, romance, comedy, alpha males, sexy and strong females and a hell of a twist I did not see coming. I absolutely loved the ending. I can't wait for the next one. I highly recommend you pick this one up. <3
Blind dates are usually nerve wrecking and can be very unexpected. One never knows who their date is going to be, but you go for it anyway. Why not right??
Well, Mary-Ann Jordan not only hit the nail on the head with this book with her main characters, but added the extra feeling of captivating and a bit weirdness to the mix. As you read more into the book, she also has a wicked twist that completely catches you off guard. It definitely kept me intrigued and I was extremely happy to have read this book. I loved her debut book and am recommending it to my family and friends.
MaryAnn Jordan told a great love story. Emma is a selfless woman who gave up her youth for family, and now ready to live meets the man of every woman's dreams, only to risk losing it all because her selflessness to aid her students gets her embroiled in the cover up of sinister back-country crime.
The book was a super surprise in that I thought it was going to be an love story with twists and complications, but this book had so much more. It had tragedy, and triumph, it had family values, but incredible sex scenes. It had mystery, sleuthing, real hot firefighters and detectives in action, and a whole town, that by gosh frankly I wanted to move there to have that kind of support. This story was well worth the read.
If you want I all, and your tastes vary from mystery, family values, erotic sex scenes, love stories, you have it all wrapped up in one neat little package. Take Emma Home!!!!!!!
Okay I now have a new favorite author!! This book was AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!! I started this book last night and I could NOT put it down. The writing was done perfect down to the last period. This book had me laughing and crying and I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happens next. It was so sweet and Did I mentions this is a DEBUT book. WOW so good.
Emma is a strong character who went through a life changing even in the first chapter. She had to take care of her niece when she was young her self. Then steps in Jake and boy does the story get more interesting. This book will not disappoint and I cant wait for the next book!

I enjoyed reading about Jake and Emma. This truly was a sweet romance with lusty scenes thrown in for good measure!
Things I enjoyed
Emma and Laurie's relationship and Emma's selflessness. I was impressed with the bond they both had.
The beginning had some funny parts in regards to what age Emma might be.
I will say the first part was a bit slow and too fast of a relationship, but I wanted to know more from the beginning, and at 51% in I was all in and could not wait to see what was going to happen. The troublemaker was not who I thought it was until the last minute and I loved that about the book.
I also really enjoyed that the epilogue was a two part, 4 months and 4 years, I love hearing more about their lives.
I feel the author set the small town up well, with characters you want to know more about, and will be excited to see in upcoming books. She even set up a possibility of the younger kids, for books later, and I like that when you get to see how people from first books evolve. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book the one series, so all together this is a 4.5 from me.
